Prestigious award for PBMS collaborator

Kevin Jones

Congratulations to Professor Kevin Jones (Lancaster University), a close collaborator who has co-supervised a number of PhD students who have used PBMS material as a basis for their doctoral research. Kevin has recently been announced as the 2020 recipient of the American Chemistry Society’s (ACS) prestigious award for Creative Advances in the Environmental Sciences and Technology.  The award aims to “encourage creativity in research and technology or methods of analysis to provide a scientific basis for informed environmental control decision-making processes, or to provide practical technologies that will reduce health risk factor”.

Kevin has been nominated for his work in advancing quantitative understanding of the global dynamics of persistent organic pollutants.  He will be presented with the award at the ACS Annual meeting in Philadelphia, March 2020.
