Research Interests

I am a Japanese researcher who joined the PBMS in 2022. My main role in the PBMS is statistically analysing the data and disseminating the results. Based on the PBMS data, I assess temporal and spatial changes in the exposure of predatory birds to various chemical contaminants, such as heavy metals (e.g., Cd, Pb), pesticides (e.g., second-generation anticoagulant rodenticides), and PBT substances (e.g., PCBs, PBDEs, PFAS). I also estimate the impact of the contaminants on the bird population and determine possible environmental and biological parameters influencing the exposure. The results of these analyses are published in various forms, such as reports, scientific papers, and oral/poster presentations at meetings or international conferences.
