Lee Walker, lead scientist for the Predatory Bird Monitoring Scheme, gave recently a talk on ‘Assessing risk to wildlife from anticoagulant rodenticides’ as part of the Institute of Zoology and Royal Veterinary College’s MSc course on Wildlife Animal Health. The lecture was held on the 25th November at the Oak Lecture Theatre at London Zoo.

“It is always interesting to have the opportunity to discuss the challenges and opportunities to assess the risk pollutants may pose to wildlife with the next generation of wildlife vets. We also discussed how monitoring can inform our assessment of exposure to and risks from rodenticides in wildlife” Lee commented. “We view this as part of our wider stakeholder engagement for the scheme”.
