European Raptor Biomonitoring Facility project - website launched

European Union COST Action European Raptor Biomonitoring Facility website

The website for a European Union COST Action “European Raptor Biomonitoring Facility (ERBFacility) has just launched.

This is a networking “action” that consists of an open network of researchers and practitioners who are working towards coordinated Europe-wide monitoring of contaminants in raptors (birds of prey). This monitoring aims to support the implementation of EU chemicals regulations and thereby reducing chemical risks to raptors themselves, to the wider environment and to human health.

Prof. Richard Shore from the PBMS leads one of the working groups in this COST action. The work and expertise of the PBMS will provide valuable insights into developing an EU wide network to monitor chemicals in sentinel bird of prey species.

The URL for the website is:  https://erbfacility.eu/
