Latest GBWDSP report on wild disease used PBMS samples

A recent report from the GB Wildlife Disease Surveillance Partnership presents data from birds submitted to the Predatory Bird Monitoring Scheme (PBMS). The quarterly report demonstrated that in Great Britain avian influenza H5N8 has not been detected in wild birds since July 2017. The PBMS continues to submit swabs from birds received by the scheme to the Animal and Plant Health Agency (APHA) for use in avian influenza surveillance.
